Our Mission

To build and evolve the best online community where experts and novices, locals and visitors, can share knowledge about Virginia fly fishing

Our History

We began this effort in 1995 with an information-only Web site, www.sklarew.com/vaflyfish. The traffic grew rapidly as people starting using the Web. We received lots of emails about updating the content over the next three years. So, in 1998, the site got an upgrade and was migrated to www.iradiant.com/vaflyfish.

The www.iradiant.com/vaflyfish site had the ability to post reports and interact via bulletin board functionality. Traffic and knowledge sharing blossomed! In 2001, we decided to build a world-class system, one that could handle unlimited traffic and comprise of numerous features to enhance collaboration.

In late 2001, we launched VAflyfish.com. This site is the ultimate place to get to know the streams, events, and fisherman of Virginia. As the site grows, we will continue to add functionality and increase marketing.
